Lock in
I sent this to Tim in an email this morning but I thought you would find this entertaining... For some reason when we moved in the door lock on Jada's room was switched, we have used this to our advantage in container her... until now, read on...
So this morning after we dropped Julia off at school, Jada was really fussy and whinny so I gave her some motrin and told her we would read a book and take a rest. Well I read to her, and sang, but she just kept playing next to me in the bed, well being that I don't feel well either I fell asleep. I don't know how long later but she began calling for me from behind her door. I get up and she has locked me in. I call to her to unlock it and she says "I can't I have boudroux all over" I keep persuading her to unlock it and she can't and won't. I keep banging on the door but no success. I try to unravel one of the door stopers and stick it in the door handle to try to release it, it doesn't work. I then tell her to go get mommy's cell phone, thinking I could get Tara or Scott (our neighbors) to help me. She leaves for a while seeming to have forgotten about me, so I call her back and she is shoving candy mints under the door asking me to unwrap them. I about pee my pants at this point cause I have to pee now and she is throwing me a bone under the door like "sorry mama, it doesn't matter that you are stuck, can you get me this candy?" I am now checking the window out to see how far a drop it is... "Jada please go get mommy's cell phone" She is gone for a while again... I am getting frantic now and thinking can I break this door down? "Jada please go get mommy's cell phone, it is in my purse" Gone a while longer, finally out of the blue the door unlocks and I am free!!! Only to discover that she has rubbed Boudreox (diaper ointment) all over the carpet! Not to excited about that but glad to be free!!

First Day Of School!

Julia has started Kindergarten and we are all very excited. She will be attending Fideles Christian School, this is a University Model School and you are welcome to click on the link and find out more about it. What we love best is it is a nice blend of parent involved teaching (homeschooling) and private school. She goes 2 days a week and then the other 3 I will upload her assignments off of the computer and teach her. We are in constant communication with her teacher and it is great! She will be wearing uniforms (another bonus) and her class size is only 8. Thank you God for helping us find Fideles!

4th of July

We headed out for our local 4th of July Parade. We live in the city of Alpharetta, but are being rezoned into a new city (suburb) called Milton. It is only a year in the making so their is no post office yet, but we do have our own police and fire department now. It is still in the beginning phases but it makes for a little smaller community feel. Anyway this is their second annual parade so not many showed up, but it was fun. The girls liked dressing their bikes up and Jada couldn't stop talking about the clown (sorry didn't get a picture), anyway hope you enjoy! We are convinced if you ask Jada to smile she does just the opposite, such a stinker!
